Teesdale Woodland These two walks take you down to the tranquil area of Flatts Wood and Percy Beck that is sitting alongside the market town of Barnard Castle.  The two short walks start in the centre of town and the route details the history of the wood together with a handy wild flower spotters guide.

Both walks go over uneven ground and it can be muddy in places but the routes are suitable for all-terrain type pushchairs providing the steps on The King's Walk and the steep climb on the Cleveland Walk are considered.

These circular walks are part of a series of twelve guided walks in Teesdale that have been created by the Heart of Teesdale Landscape Partnership Project.  The leaflets are available, for a small cover charge, from the Visitor Information Point in the Witham Hall in Barnard Castle.
